I took the kids to the Zoo Saturday and we had a blast. Jessica came along to help wrangle the little ones and she was a lifesaver! We were waiting in line when they opened the gate at 10 am and we were among the last to leave at 6 pm. It was a long and fun day. If only we all could have slept on the drive home. Here are some cute shots!
Caura's hair is french-braided in the front but after a nap ALL the way to FW she looks a little messy! Still Cute but messy!
I dressed Corbin in orange and Caura in stripes so that they would stand out. Corbin red hat helped also! Caura realized what the zoo is all about when she saw the giraffes and huge gold fish! She was amazed!
Corbin fell on this fence and scratched his palm. I had to go to three stands before I found a band aide! Then I almost had to demand to talk to a manager because the worker didn't think they could give me one! OK so I should have had one in my bag but I was trying to travel light!
Corbin said "he is throwing the dirt, that is not nice!"
WOW!
Caura is not always ready to smile but hey I look good and she always looks good so all is... good!
The lion was roaring. You could almost feel the vibrations in the air! It was cool and it def got the kids attention!
My sweetness took a mid-day nap, aprox 1.5 hours, after she poured my soda down her front and had to change clothes. She is so cute!
This was around 4 pm so Corbin was a little tired of posing for pics. or just tired.
The elephants were playing in the water! Notice Caura's bed head!
I love the silhouette of Caura's hand!
Corbin wanted me to take his picture on this elephant. I told him to smile for grandma and this is what he did! So grandma this smiles for you!
I've never seen a hippo out of the water before now. They were waiting by the door like they were ready to go in.
Last pic of the day - Corbin got stuck in each one of these, like three times.
Anyone looking for a good Zoo check out Fort Worth Zoo. The layout is great and there is plenty to keep the kids entertained and amazed.
